Spore



Spore, minute single- or multicelled body produced during the process of reproduction of many plants, particularly bacteria, algae and fungi, and some protozoa. Their structures vary greatly and depend upon the means of dissemination from the parent. Some, such as the zoospores of algae, are capable of movement.
