Spoonbill



Spoonbill, bird in the ibis family. The Roseate spoonbill (Ajaia ajaja) lives in warm locations in the Americas. The spoonbill can grow to 32 in (80 cm) long, with rose to red coloring on its body and white on and around its head. The bill is dipped and then moved through water in search for water insects, crabs, and fish. Other kinds of spoonbills are found in southern regions on all continents.
