Snuff



Snuff, pulverized, fermented tobacco leaves ground into a powder and inhaled, chewed, or placed in the mouth. The taking of snuff was popular in the 18th century, and decorated snuffboxes were commonly worn as jewelry. Today the practice is believed to pose substantial health risks.
