Soap Box Derby

Soap Box Derby, downhill coasting race for small racing cars without motors or pedals, open to young people from 9 to 16 years. Using homebuilt cars that must comply to rules for size, weight, and cost, contestants first race in local competitions. Winners are eligible to compete in the All-American Soap Box Derby held annually in August in Akron, Ohio.
