Skye terrier



Skye terrier, breed of dog named after the Isle of Skye, Scotland, where it was first bred, in the 17th century. A work dog, good rat hunter, and pleasant companion, this terrier stands up to 10 in (25 cm) high at the shoulder and has a long body. Ears may be floppy or erect.
