Kingdom of the Two Sicilies



Sicilies, Kingdom of the Two, name taken by the kingdoms of Sicily and Naples when they merged in 1816 under Ferdinand I. The Two Sicilies were conquered by the Italian revolutionary leader Guiseppe Garibaldi in 1860, and subsequently absorbed, by popular vote, into the kingdom of Italy.
