Shrimp

Shrimp, decapod crustacean (suborder Natantia) that uses its abdominal limbs to swim instead of crawling like a lobster or crab. The body, more or less cylindrical and translucent, bears 5 pairs of walking legs and 2 pairs of very long antennae. The eyes are stalked. Shrimp are mostly scavengers or predators and may be found in the open ocean, near shore, in estuaries, and even in fresh water. They are fished for food worldwide.
