Pete Seeger



Seeger, Pete (1919– ), U.S. folksinger and conservation activist. A master of the 5-string banjo and 12-string guitar, he led the 1950s revival of interest in folk music with his group the Weavers. Many of his own songs, including “Where Have all the Flowers Gone?” (1961), have become classics of folk music.
