Gene Sarazen



Sarazen, Gene (Eugene Saraceni; 1902– ), U.S. golfer. He won the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) tournament in 1922, 1923, and 1933; the U.S. Open in 1922 and 1932; and the British Open in 1932. He also played 6 times in the Ryder Cup competition between U.S. and British players. Sarazen's outstanding 235-yd (215-m) shot helped win him the 1935 Masters tournament.
