Saragossa



Saragossa (pop. 594,400), industrial and trading center located in northeast Spain. The city has metalworks, sugar refineries, chemical plants, and factories that manufacture electrical equipment, farm machinery, and furniture. The city's name comes from Caesarea Augusta, the name that Roman Emperor Augustus gave it in 25 B.C.
