Samoyed

Samoyed, strong working dog of northern Siberia used to pull sleds and oversee reindeer herds. Its heavy white or cream colored coat protects it from severe weather and moisture. It weighs 35–65 lb (15.9–29.5 kg) and stands 19–23.5 in (48.3–59.7 cm) high at the shoulder. The Samoyed people of Siberia developed the breed thousands of years ago.
