Saluki



Saluki, lean, fast-running working hound first bred c.5000 B.C. in Arabia and Egypt to hunt gazelle. The dog has long, silky ears and weighs about 60 lb (27 kg); it stands 23 to 28 in (58 to 71 cm) high at the shoulders. Its colors are light tan, white, brown, or black and tan.
