Sagebrush



Sagebrush, small aromatic shrub (genus Artemisia) of the composite family, native to the plains and mountains of western North America. These deciduous shrubs grow anywhere from 2 to 12 ft (0.6 to 3.7 m) high and have white or yellow flowers. Sagebrush is unrelated to true sage. It is the state flower of Nevada.
