Rubella



Rubella, or German measles, contagious viral disease that presents little danger unless contracted in the first trimester of pregnancy, when it may cause serious damage to a fetus. The disease, whose symptoms include rash and fever, usually affects children and young adults. Vaccination against rubella has proven effective.
