Rubber plant



Rubber plant, any of several plants, including the Ceará tree, Pará rubber tree, and guayule, that are sources of latex, a milky fluid used to make rubber. The India rubber fig (Ficus elastica), a popular house plant native to India and the East Indies, was once grown for its gum, which was made into erasers.
