Richmond

Richmond (pop. 41,349), city in Indiana and the seat of Wayne County, located on the Whitewater River. Founded by Quakers who traveled from North Carolina in 1806, it remains a center of Quaker activity. Economic activities include metalwork and the manufacture of machine parts.
