Prince consort

Prince consort, husband of a reigning queen. A prince consort is not given the title of king in European countries where the sovereign's daughter may inherit the throne and he has no place in the royal succession under ordinary circumstance. These rules apply in the monarchies of Denmark, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.
