Prince Albert



Prince Albert (pop. 33,700), city in central Saskatchewan. Situated on the North Saskatchewan River, it was founded in 1866 and named for Queen Victoria's prince consort. It is an important lumbering and manufacturing center and due to its location near the entrance to Prince Albert National Park, it is a major tourist center as well.
