Portulaca



Portulaca, flower of the purslane family. Producing colorful blossoms that open only in full sunlight, portulacas are cultivated in gardens and several species are used as potted plants. The petals are most commonly red, yellow, pink, white, or purple and the plant may grow from 1 to 1.5ft (30–46 cm) tall.
