Pintail

Pintail, duck (Anas acuta) of the family Anatidae. Living in fresh waters throughout the Northern Hemisphere, it is so named because of its long, pointed tail. It has a brown head and neck, and a white breast that continues into a white line on each side of the neck. The rest of the plumage on the male is predominantly gray, whereas that of the female is brown.
