Pickle



Pickle, food preserved in vinegar or brine to prevent the development of putrefying bacteria. Spices are usually added for flavor. Cucumbers, onions, beets, tomatoes, and cauliflowers make popular pickles. Pigs' feet and corned beef are also sometimes pickled.
