Roland Petit



Petit, Roland (1924– ), French dancer and choreographer. A founder (1945) and premier danseur of Les Ballets des Champs-Elysées, in 1948 he formed Les Ballets de Paris. He choreographed Carmen (1949), La Croqueuse de diamants (1950), and many other ballets for stage and film. Since 1972 he has directed Ballets de Marseilles.
