Epistles of Peter

Peter, Epistles of, 2 New Testament letters, traditionally attributed to St. Peter. The first is written to encourage persecuted Christians in Asia Minor; the second closely parallels the Epistle of Jude and refers to the Second Coming. Authorship is doubtful, particularly of the second, which some scholars date c.A.D. 150 and which was admitted late to the canon.
