John Osborne

Osborne, John (1929–94), English dramatist whose Look Back in Anger (1956) made him the first Angry Young Man of the 1950s and established a new and vigorous realism in the British theater. His later plays include The Entertainer (1957), Luther (1961), and Inadmissible Evidence (1964).
