Independent Order of Odd Fellows



Odd Fellows, Independent Order of, secret organization promoting good will and brotherhood and committed to helping its members in time of need, hardship, or sorrow. Created in England in the early 1700s, in 1819 it spread to the United States, where it now claims more than 1 million members. Its logo of 3 links, skull and crossbones, and a single eye represents friendship, love, and truth, our limited state of being, and an omnipotent God. Rebekah lodges of Odd Fellows are mostly women.
