Nihilism



Nihilism, doctrine that denies all values, questions all authority, and advocates the destruction of all social and economic institutions. The movement, romantic in origin and anarchist in outlook, arose in 19th-century Russia. Its most noted exponent was Prince Piotr Kropotkin.
