Nefertiti



Nefertiti, or Nefretete (fl. c. 1372–1350 B.C.), queen of ancient Egypt, wife of Ikhnaton (reigned c. 1370–50 B.C.), and aunt of Tutankhamen. Nefertiti and Ikhnaton promoted monotheism, and their rule was a time of great social and cultural change.
