Bagpipe



Bagpipe, musical wind instrument in which air is blown into a leather bag and then forced out through musical pipes. The melody is played on one or two pipes (the chanters), while drone pipes sound bass tones. The bagpipe originated in Asia but is best known as Scotland's national instrument.
