National Air and Space Museum



National Air and Space Museum, part of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C., devoted to displays and exhibits about the history of air and space travel. The museum, originated by the U.S. Congress in 1946 and housed in its permanent building 30 years later, has 20 galleries, a theater, and a planetarium.
