Arctic tern



Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea), a coast-dwelling, long-distance migrant bird of the family Laridae. The Arctic tern winters in Antarctica, then flies north to breed on Atlantic coasts from New England to the northernmost islands of the Arctic Ocean. It is about 17 in (43 cm) long, with gray, black, and white feathers and a red bill and feet.
