Apollo

Apollo, in Greek mythology, the son of Zeus and Leto, twin of Artemis, and second only to Zeus in that he had the power of the sun as giver of light and life. He was the god of justice and masculine beauty, purifier of those stained by crime, divine patron of the arts, leader of the Muses, and god of music and poetry. Apollo was considered a healer who could also send disease. He spoke through the oracle at Delphi. The Romans adopted Apollo, honoring him as healer and sun god.
