Anglicans



Anglicans, community of churches developed from the Church of England. The Church of England split from the Roman Catholic Church in the 1500s, during the Reformation. It was formed by King Henry VIII, who broke with the Roman Catholic Church because he was denied permission to divorce his second wife, Anne Boleyn. The Anglican Communion is made up of the Church of England, the Anglican Church of Canada, and the Episcopal Church in the United States.
