Airbrush, pencil-like painting tool that uses compressed air to apply a fine spray. A smaller, more delicate version of the spray gun, the airbrush is often used to shade drawings, retouch photographs, or accent highlights in prints. The operator creates different effects by varying the air pressure passing through the brush.
