Aeneas



Aeneas, mythological Trojan prince, son of Venus and Anchises and hero of the Roman poet Vergil's Aeneid. After the fall of Troy he rescued his father and son and fled to Carthage and then to Italy. Rome was said to be founded by his descendants, Romulus and Remus.
