Adams, Samuel Hopkins (1871–1958), U.S. writer. As a newspaper and magazine journalist Adams attacked dishonesty in medicine, business, and government, and his collected articles, The Great American Fraud (1906), furthered the passage of the Pure Food and Drug Act. His novels include The Clarion (1914) and Revelry (1926).
