Actors Studio



Actors Studio, professional workshop for actors, established in New York City in 1947; Lee Strasberg became director in 1948. The school's training, often called the Method, is based on the teachings of Constantin Stanislavski, stressing an actor's psychological interpretation of a role and emotional identification with the personality of the character.
