Abdomen

Abdomen, in vertebrates, large body cavity between the chest and the pelvis. It contains the stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder (which are covered by the peritoneum, the thin membrane lining the cavity), kidneys, spleen, adrenal glands, pancreas, and, in the female, reproductive organs.
