Charles Francis Jenkins

Jenkins, Charles Francis (1867–1934), U.S. inventor. His “phantascope” (1895) was a motion picture projector that enlarged narrow film images into life-sized figures. He also patented an airplane braking device, an altimeter, and a mechanical automobile starter.
