Stilt



Stilt, bird belonging to the stilt and avocet family, commonly found in warm pond areas throughout the world. It is known for its long, thin legs and bill. It measures from 14–18 in (35–45 cm) and usually has black and white feathers and pink legs. It wades in the water and feeds on the small creatures it finds there.
