Warren Spahn



Spahn, Warren (1921– ), U.S. baseball player. Considered one of the greatest pitchers of all time, Spahn's achievements include winning the Cy Young award (1957) and setting a record for left-handed pitching in victories (363) and shutouts (63). He played in the major leagues for the Boston (Milwaukee) Braves (1942–64), New York Mets (1965), and San Francisco Giants (1965). Spahn was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973.
