Robert Creeley



Creeley, Robert (1926– ), U.S. poet and author. Along with Robert Duncan and Charles Olson, Creeley was one of the leading Black Mountain poets. While teaching at Black Mountain College in North Carolina, he was the editor of the Black Mountain Review, a literary magazine that pioneered modern forms of poetry and short prose. Creeley's best-known works are compiled in Collected Poems: 1945–1975 (1983) and The Collected Prose of Robert Creeley (1984).
