Credit Union



Credit Union, cooperative bank formed by the members of a company, church, labor union, or other organization. Members buy shares with their savings and may borrow money at low interest rates. Any profits are distributed to members periodically in the form of dividends. Credit unions, like other banks, are closely supervised by the government.
