Charles Edward Coughlin



Coughlin, Charles Edward (1891–1969), U.S. Roman Catholic priest famous for his vitriolic sermons broadcast by radio from his Shrine of the Little Flower Church in Royal Oak, Mich. He upheld isolationism, attacked President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and preached anti-Semitism. He also disseminated his reactionary views through his magazine, Social Justice.
