Cotopaxi



Cotopaxi, highest active volcano in the world. It is located in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador, 40 mi (64 km) from Quito. The volcano towers 19,344 ft (5,896 m) above sea level and its crater is 2,600 ft (792 m) across. The last recorded eruption was in 1942.
