Cork



Cork (pop. 173,700), second largest city in Ireland (after Dublin) situated at the mouth of the Lee River, in the southwest of the republic. Through its fine harbor at Cobh, Cork exports dairy products, leather, iron, and glass. The city has large distilleries and breweries.
