Terence James Cardinal Cooke



Cooke, Terence James Cardinal (1921–1983), U.S. Roman Catholic clergyman. He was consecrated bishop in 1965, archbishop of New York in 1968, and cardinal in 1969. At age 48, Cook was the youngest American ever to become a cardinal.
