Condor

Condor, one of two species of vultures and the largest flying birds in existence. They have broad wings with a span of 10 ft (3 m) and weigh up to 25 lb (11 kg). The Andean condor (Vultur gryphus), the larger of the two, is still fairly common in the Andes, but the numbers of the California condor (Gymnogyps californianus) have been greatly reduced.
