Commonwealth Games



Commonwealth Games, sports competition among amateur athletes from British Commonwealth countries, first held in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1930 under the name of British Empire Games. The games are held in a different Commonwealth city every four years. They include track and field events, badminton, swimming and diving, boxing, wrestling, and weightlifting.
