Cominform



Cominform (Communist Information Bureau), international organization set up in 1947 to coordinate among Communist parties in the Soviet Union, eastern Europe, and some capitalist countries. Essentially an agency of the Soviet government, it was disbanded by Nikita Khrushchev in 1956.
