Collective farm



Collective farm, agricultural enterprise operated cooperatively. The farm's land and equipment may be owned by members of the cooperative group or by the government, which controls production. Stalin introduced collectivization to the USSR in 1929, and it has been widely used in Communist countries and in Israel.
